so the news coming out is that the middle songs "bill/sue,shelter/daybreak" are the low sagging point of the album. but that the last 4 end it stellar. best since holland. |
But some guy said "shelter" is "flawless." I'M SO CONFUSED |
YUP...i trust the other 2 that say it isn't flawless more. we shall see. |

jimmy fallon is such a great host |
he's really good. the clips for the album are on itunes. I haven't listened. From what i gather there's quite the lull in the middle of the album. mike love also gives possibly the first so bad it's good lyric |
Some of the samples actually sound pretty good. Seriously. |
Some. Which exceeds expectations |
duds were more expected than good songs for sure. I'm excited to hear those end songs, supposed to be super. |
caats i heard the album. it's okay. |
i'm kidding |
it sounds like "isn't it time" and the last 3 are gonna be pretty good actually. like, stuff that i'll listen to repeatedly. the rest reek of jesse & the rippers. i literally feel nauseous every time they self-reference their older stuff ("spring vacation! / good vibrations!"). stabbing at nostalgia does not substantial music make |
You've found it, the only thing that could make this thread more sad: Charlie rose. |
yeah billy, got love when mike gets to write lyrics, he seems so proud of it too. The lyrics to spring vacation are pretty hilariously bad. That's the only clip i've heard besides the single. |
al's voice has held up impressively. he's still got that great youthful quality. |
yeah, all the live performances of him this tour are amazingly good still (voice wise) |
