you are the scariest political force in a long time, and you are fascinating, and you are utterly out of your depth, and now you are stepping down as governor of an iceberg (?) before your first term is even up?!? WHY?!?!?

i wanted you to run for president in 2012 so that i could be TERRIFIED of the prospect of you winning, and also GOBSMACKED at how popular a mediocrity such as yourself is with republican dead-enders.

i don't know at all. i can't understand her. people are writing her off for 2012, which makes sense, but it's not at all clear to me that she's writing off 2012. perhaps she's looking toward 2016. still, if she has any future ambition in national politics, resigning in her first term for no clear reason isn't exactly a smart move.

i guess her logic is that if she's not going to run for re-election, she has no business being in the office that she was elected to, and so will resign, because it would "waste" taxpayer money if she were occupying an office that she was not seeking re-election for. yes, it makes no sense. but it's "no more politics as usual"!!

also i like her comment about disillusioned alaskans seeing "this real climate change since last august." (5:22)

I'm as confused as Anderson by how resigning before your term is up is admirable.
