the face to face in the prison interrogation part seems to have a similar vibe. even to their reactions to each other.

whiplash blowing up the prison in the hallway and walking off. Reminds me of Joker doing the hospital in the same manner.

not that dark knight originated these things. but it's fresh enough that i recognized them.

Yeah. There was some cool stuff in wolfman and the bulk of the horribleness was due to studio intereference in post production. But the tone was all over the place as well. Johnstons got a history of this. He's been bullied by studios before and always gives in to the pressure. Hopefully he'll make a great film here. The cap needs to be awesome!
